Lafawndah is a NYC based Parisian singer/producer (And she’s actually part-Iranian, part-Egyptian, part-English). In 2014 she released a self titled EP with a sound heavily influenced by zouk music. It was recorded in Guadaloupe and its sound was just as tropical as you can imagine as you can hear on the track “Chili”.

This February 5 her follow up EP “Tan” will be released. She’s just signed to WARP Records. The zouk influences are mostly gone and replaced by a darker, minimalistic, mysterious sound. Though the track “Tan” keeps that percussion driven vibe.

The video was released last November and was directed by Lafawndah herself and Nick Weiss.
