[:en]Waterstrider is a five-piece, led by Nate Salman, “whose transfixing falsetto is at the core of the band’s sound – it rides atop a tidal wave of booming toms and congas, twists itself around guitar licks and then rises, alone, to new heights.” as said by The Guardian.

A short while ago they released the brilliantly “White Light” as the first published track of their soon to be released album “Nowhere Now”. Listen to this if you’re into afrobeat inspired kind of stuff or into stuff like Yeasayer or Django Django.

They followed it up with “Calliope” which is more mid-tempo but just as fascinating.

“Nowhere Now” will be released April 6 (UK) and April 7 (North America).

Listen if you like: afrobeat inspired stuff, mid-career Yeasayer, Django Django[:nl]Waterstrider is een 5-mans formatie, met als frontman Nate Salman, “whose transfixing falsetto is at the core of the band’s sound – it rides atop a tidal wave of booming toms and congas, twists itself around guitar licks and then rises, alone, to new heights.” aldus The Guardian.
